Law as a Career
Career in LAW is one of most attractive and powerful option among the youngster for the last so many years.The LLB stands for Legum Baccalaureus is a Latin word commonly known as Bachelor of Law originating in England is an undergraduate degree in law. The abbreviation LLB is commonly known as Bachelor of Legislative Law in India. After getting Law degree one can practice as a Lawyer. A degree in law not only lets you practice as a lawyer in the courts or in the company but also opens up career options in sectors like corporate management, legal services and administrative services. It is a three year regular degree program offered by various universities recognized by Bar Council of India (BCI). There are two different stages when a person can choose this career, one is after 10+2 and another one is after graduation degree.
Who is Lawyer
Lawyer is an officer of the court, who assist the court in the due administration of justice. The person who is graduated in law can register himself with state bar counsel or Bar counsel of India as a Lawyer. He is well versed in the law. The legal profession plays an important role in the administration of justice. The lawyer is an integral part of the judicial system. He is the bridge between Bar and the Bench. An advocate is the “Gentlemen of the Bar”.
Career option for Law Graduate
After getting the degree of Law there are enormous career options for students to choose from. That is why more and more students are getting attractive towards law as a preferred career choice in today’s world. It is not necessarily that a law graduate should choose to be a civil lawyer or criminal lawyer, he can go for non Lawyer career options within this sector like Corporate management, Legal services, Administrative services Lecturer or paralegal services etc. The another most important fact about the Career in law is that it has no retirement age, the more you grow the more you be experienced.
Law after 12th
There are so many type of courses are available like B.A. LLB, B.com.LLB, and BBA LLB for those students who have passed 10+2 from any recognized board. It is five years integrated LLB program. After completion of this degree one can register as a lawyer with BCI or state bar Council.
Law after Graduation
Any student an join LLB course after three year graduation from any recognized university with minimum 45% marks. It is a three year regular program. After completion of this course candidate can enroll or register himself or herself with Bar Counsel of India (BCI) or state bar counsel like Delhi Bar Counsel.
